THIS is what happens when Josh, the Comics Curmudgeon himself, mentions that he’s off on his annual week of Hanuchrismwaanza celebration.\u00a0 No mention of Uncle Lumpy tending the store (or minding the asylum), so there are rumors that Sneaky, the Klepto Raccoon an’ Andy’s (the Saint Bernard, not Rex Morgan’s pal) buddy, will be keeping us in line.<\/p>\n

One raccoon vs.<\/em> a horde of Curminions?\u00a0 One word: rabies<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

“The Ballad of Sneaky Raccoon”<\/em><\/p>\n

Now somewhere in the green tree-filled land of Lost Forest<\/span>
\nThere lived a procyon named Sneaky Raccoon<\/span>
\nOne day his crawdads were stolen by another guy
\nYoung Sneaky was hungry,\u00a0 Sneaky didn’t like that
\n<\/span>He said I’m gonna get that boy
\nOne day he walked to the cabin
\nAnd slipped himself into an open window<\/span><\/p>\n

Sneaky Raccoon checked out the main room
\n<\/span>Only to find old Mark Trail
\nSneaky was mad, lots of sharp teeth he had
\n<\/span>That dumb kid he was gonna assail
\nThat kid and his pup on his crawdads did sup<\/span>
\nWhich made Sneaky very contrary<\/span>
\nMrs. Trail was there with nice black-and-blue hair
\nAnd everyone knew her as Cherry<\/span><\/p>\n

She was sort of busty, her son’s name was Rusty<\/span>
\n(He was smart as a bowl of squirrel stew)<\/span>
\nSneaky burst in and growling like sin<\/span>
\nHe said Rusty boy I’m gonna bite you<\/span>
\nBut that Rusty was weird \u2013 he cried \u201cI’m askeered<\/em>!\u201d
\nAnd Mark Trail grabbed Sneaky’s ringed tail<\/span><\/p>\n

Cherry’s dad wandered by, thought it best not to pry<\/span>
\nBut then he spied pancakes on the table<\/span>
\nHe said, Sneaky you met your match
\nAnd Sneaky said, This is just a rough patch
\nI’ll take down that boy as soon as I’m able<\/span><\/p>\n

Sneaky — poor sod!– he was chained to a log<\/span>
\nSo much for his try at reprisal<\/span>
\nAndy rescued him (the one not totally dim)
\nAnd helped with young Sneaky’s survival<\/span>\n<\/p>\n

Doot doodly doo doot doodly dee…<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n
