Sarah is tucked into bed, and it&#8217;s time for a little kanoodling, Rex Morgan style&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/snarkitupfuzzball.nexiliscom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/01\/not-rex-191.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-1799\" title=\"not-rex-191\" src=\"http:\/\/snarkitupfuzzball.nexiliscom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/01\/not-rex-191.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"240\" height=\"190\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>There&#8217;s been lots of pirate action, or at least pirate talk, on the comics page.\u00a0 Pirates always seem to be an issue for <em>The Phantom<\/em>, and even Rex wonders, given the disastrous bend to the cruise, if a pirate ship isn&#8217;t just over the horizon.<\/p>\n<p>Heck, even in 9 Chickweed Lane, Seth and Mark discuss piratical behavior (check out the 27 January 2009 panel&#8230;it&#8217;s great!).\u00a0 Of course, knowing me, some of that has to ooze over to other characters, other plots:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/snarkitupfuzzball.nexiliscom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/01\/not-rex-1921.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-1800\" title=\"not-rex-1921\" src=\"http:\/\/snarkitupfuzzball.nexiliscom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/01\/not-rex-1921.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"780\" height=\"360\" srcset=\"https:\/\/snarkitupfuzzball.nexiliscom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/01\/not-rex-1921.jpg 780w, https:\/\/snarkitupfuzzball.nexiliscom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/01\/not-rex-1921-250x115.jpg 250w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 780px) 100vw, 780px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>And in spite of everything, the talk continues to center on Sarah&#8217;s little stowaway friend.\u00a0 Personally, I&#8217;m bored with the Donut Kid, just as the Morgans seem with their own flesh-and-blood (Yes. I know that Rex looks really, really <strong><em>odd<\/em><\/strong> in the second panel.
