I am the very model of a comic strip curmudgeon.
\nMy irony and wit are as sharp as any bludgeon,
\nI know about all comic strips both present and historical
\nFrom Yellow Kid to Cul de Sac in order categorical,
\nI know about slide rules too, and matters mathematical,
\nBut I am especially good at anything grammatical.
\nI can diagram a sentence, and correctly use apostrophes
\nTho I curse like Donald Duck when I attempt to write pornographies.
\nBut as long as comic strips are there to rouse my dudgeon
\nI am the very model of a comic strip curmudgeon.<\/p>\nI am very good with words recondite and sesquipedalian,
\nAlthough my drinking habits are especially bacchanalian
\nSuch words as fulgent, orgulous, occupy my cerebration,
\nWhilst I practice floccinaucinihilipilification.
\nI love to flaunt my knowledge of English lit and history
\nTho anything to do with sports to me is just a mystery
\nBut tho my comments range from the sublime to the ridiculous
\nI hope that I\u2019ve never made a fellow \u2018mudge somniculous!
