A guest…You just know Lois Flagston would love to have a gal-pal shopping and shmoozing with her…being the only Working Mother in Walkertown, though, she seems a few years/decades ahead of the ladies in the neighborhood….Keep trying, Lois! One of these days/years/decades, Irma will leave Thirsty and pop out of her shell!
Then again, some folks don’t really want a guest. Like when they’re hosing offi their immense, bloated carcasses.
It’s enough to scare a cat…
And don’t let me hear you saying “There’s nothin’ to do!”….
(Evidently, JP’s colorist is on sick-leave.)
Since I have no clear idea of what’s going on, other than JP’s artist is out sick, it’s getting thrown into the “Guest strip” category (it was that, or the non-existent Marvel strips…).
Now she’s getting nasty…
Meanwhile, RMMD continues just fine, with Rex, June, or all the other miserable kids…
A tip o’ the life preserver to Michael Martin, one of the Readers of the Comics Curmudgeon on FB:
And I mean EVERYBODY’S getting into the act!
Dang, even my husband has gotten involved!!!
This, like the very irregular, Scoopy the Surly Sundae, are for those times when the daily funnies aren’t that. Or if we have a hankering to see one of our favorite characters, Libby herself!
But wait — there’s more!
Estelle is doing her best to stay under control and get on with her life.
And once again we find Wilbutt cliffside, but with some faithful animal friends!
a little celebration for Carol’s escape….
I don’t snark on Pickles, because I like the strip (have I ever snarked on it?). OTOH, I can see it a universe that Mary Worth might visit when it’s clear that Moy and Brigman are doing their best to ignore her….
I usually don’t snark on Garfield, either, because it’s just plain stupid. Eventually, however, the syndicate GoComics DID color-correct this strip (The proper response is “big deal.”)
…it’s Scoopy! (along with scads of other Bernie memes…)
…when Pluggers is getting to be one of the most up-beat and happy strips around.
And when the little bits of happiness go blissfully around….
And then there are some subjects that I know WAY too much about. In addition to losing a certain number with each decade…
It’s just sort of reminiscent of another strip…another plot…another character…
Hey, you’re retired, Plugger! Who the hell cares WHEN you show up (if ever)?
