Snark It Up, FuzzBall!

With Madi out of the picture, and Saul setting his gaze on a new tenant at Charterstone, we spent two. long. years. decades. weeks with Tommy the ex-druggie and his equally boring girlfriend. This is how the world ends, I began to think.

And then! We’re back to Mary and her minion Toby! It might not be high drama or any sort of good literature, but the time is ripe for some good ol’ snark!

And in the midst of a week of baking a single pan of muffins, Mary divulges a secret to Toby (not that Toby would ever remember it):

The horror continues (hey, it’s October…you gotta expect it).

…Andy was attacked by wild dogs and is in bad shape (oh no!), and Mark’s boss(es) want him to fly to the Big city to accept an award (double oh no!). Cherry will take case of things, though…

Maybe this is an awkward but exciting segue into the new Mark Trail, though! This will feature a new writer and artist….and a lady, too! New things are coming for sure…I mostly worry that we’ll lose the glorious (and educational) Sunday strips, so I’d better make hay while the sun shines!!

It’s a bright, sunny, autumn morning, and it’s time to check on Andy’s status…

Victory and Band-Aids are ours!

A number of readers continued to fret over the presence of Tabby and Sassy…where were they? were they still alive? were they ever in the strip to begin with? Well, here they are, happy and content to share Rusty’s kennel with Rusty!

But what about the awards ceremony? It’s on television, and I’ll bet it’s in COLOR!

Oh, come on, Thel…it’s not like Jeffy doesn’t deserve it, although it looks like Billy ought to get in trouble…

Then again, I’m getting a sense of why Jeffy always finds himself in trouble…

…but I’d be lying.

When the Sunday comics mean Mark has to make up something about flowers and bugs…

…now shut the hell up, Dolly, and admit that you’re just a fat, fat, fat kid.

And yet Les still has time for his old pal chunky Funky!

And just when you thought a chat between Les and Funky would slowly sink to the neverending bottom of ennui…
