Snark It Up, FuzzBall!

Moon Maid returns to Dick Tracyland!  Evidently, she died in a car crash years ago when I wasn’t reading the strip so I really don’t have a good idea what’s going on, and during her recent return, she’s been mysteriously swathed while her exotic alien features are reconstructed.  I always liked her, just because she had antennae, and so here’s hoping for the best on her recovery…

A new man, the governor of New York! (I am not making this up), is entranced by Lu Ann’s stunning vacuousness…

I *think* this had to do with a current Mary Worth storyline, with a lonely young writer catching a ride to the grocery store with a lonely young divorced man, and her carrying around a bag of groceries for an inordinate amount of time.  One of the egregious faults was a baguette missing from her goodies.

From there, the discussion went something like
Grocery bag –> baguette in bag –> the art of Art Frahm (Google him) –> granny panties –> granny panties around ankles –> Mary Worth –> oh dear God!

Yeah, something like that.

While I can’t speak for Mark and Wes (aside from a feeble “FRONNK!“), June makes it safely back to the office.

Again, I think this is the first time I’ve mashed this, and with any luck, it’ll be the last.  The first three panels are virtually untouched.

Wildlife writers gotta enjoy nature,

What a great Jumble puzzle!  We’re pretty sure that’s Watterson and Breathed (two of the Titans in recent comics history) in the foreground, judging by the cats on display.  (Did I ever mention that when my friend Kurt thumbs through his old Bloom County books, Opus has my voice?  Then again, Chuck and Jeff are Calvin and Hobbes, in that order.)

But no Snuffles?!?  Justice must be done!
