I think if Lynn J. had stopped her strip instead of recycling it as My Ex is a Big Ol’ Dickwad FOOBlite, the population would’ve finally realized that Funky Winkerbean had skidded into its place a the Number One Dysfunctional and Not Funny At All (although we’re on the comics page) comic.

Is there any emotion generated for the character of Les other than contempt (and that’s being polite)?

On the other hand, you being an artiste and no doubt even a Special Snowflake among them, Les, you realize that the only thing that being talked about is not being talked about (some guy called Oscar Wilde said that.  He was a writer, too.).

It seems comics.com is being subsumed by gocomics.com as of 1 June.  If you have an account at comics.com, it’ll tell you to punch a button for more information.  Apparently, it attaches one of its comic strips to make your information-gathering a little more enjoyable…

…so why the deuce did it bring up love is…, a strip I loathe, despise and detest?

Well, there’s remedies for that! (love is…a proposalBlargh. Yeah, right.)

The topic of Princess Beatrice’s wedding chapeau surfaced again over at The Comics Curmudgeon, with speculation by The Fashion Police that Miss A. Otterloop might be able to pull off such a look.

Alas.  Even the mad skilz of a Blisshaven pre-schooler are not enough…

Apologies to Richard (“Cul de Sac”) Thompson and to Alice herself.

I think someone (not naming names, but the initials are T. B.) has that mysterious “Midas Manure Touch”…you know? Everything turns to crap, one way or another:

Tim Rickard’s Brewster Rockit, Space Guy!, is such a joy because it happily borrows from everything in the space/science fiction genre.  Darth Vader and the Mother Alien are not uncommon visitors, although Brewster is usually plagued by villain Dirk Raider and his Cylonish stormtroopers.  I just wanted to get back to basics with some of the bestest stormtroopers ever, courtesy of the Evil Galactic Empire ™:

(I just hope everyone takes this with the good nature it is intended….Oh! MY SPLEEN!)

My buddy from over at the Comics Curmudgeon, queek, source of Cuteness, Kawaii Commando, had to share this fuzzy mug with you (no, it’s not his fuzzy mug…well, at least I’m pretty sure it isn’t his):

“Last week, the queeksgirl and I got to dogsite her folks’ Westie pup for a couple of days. Here’s Tu’i looking scruffy and cute.”

With heaven as my witness, I only look at Love is… when someone on the Comics Curmudgeon website mentions it (forturnately, that isn’t too often).  Still, I can bet that just about all my mashups for it come from someone pointing out a particularly creepy one…

The original had something to do about a mother’s infinite patience  (kind of creepy when Mom died about 30 years ago.)

This “look at this” moment was promulgated by CC’s queek, sourced of Cuteness, Kawaii Commando, who mentioned something about “hadaka aprons and sex in the kitchen.”  Gee. Thanks loads, queek…
