Snark It Up, FuzzBall!

In the 14 June edition of The Phantom, Diana (Woman Who Is Wrongfully Incarcerated) bemoans the fact that Kit (Ghost Who Walks, aka Bummed-Out Husband) has forgotten about her, and that everyone assumes she was killed in the terrorist attack orchestrated by Chatu (Villain With Many Tats).

A short day late (15 June), Diana (Woman Who Has Been Out in the Sun Too Long) rhapsodizes about Kit (Big Purple Goober) is in fact still on the hunt for bad guys:

Yeah, sweetie, you just go on thinking that…

Diana is still dead, Kit Jr. and Heloise are still foisted off on President and Mrs. Luaga, and Kit Sr. is just so so so busy.

Asshat.

Or that the “action” in The Phantom turns once more to Diana. Evidently, Diana is going to be responsible for busting out of prison. Gee, thanks, Kit!

But first…

Kit Walker is still all mopey-dopey, having realized that Diane is still dead.  Even the genuinely dead Mr. Falk (creator of The Phantom) is having a hard time kicking his charge into action.

It’s okay, Mr. Falk:  every girl’s crazy ‘about a sharp-dressed leprechaun man.

Diana is still rotting away in some Third World prison, Kit still thinks she’s dead, and Savarna is wasting no time in trying to impress that dreamy guy in purple Spandex.  But what would impress such a fellow? Hmm, subtlety didn’t work, nor did a full-frontal lip lock.

The lady is resourceful AND persistent…

Yeah, that’s about it.

The week of 24 January was one of hawt, haunchy goodness in the comic strips. What, you don’t believe me?

Mostly because I really need to be doing other things, but partially because I wanted to add “Exhibit B” to Master Softheart’s theory of Moving Things Along:

Looks like Mark’s globe-trotting again!  And you can bet who’s not invited:

And, dang! If I wasn’t right on the money!  Woo hoo!

Still, Mark is a professional Nature Guy, and he has work to do.  It’s often perilous (and usually boring), so he chooses not to endanger his loved ones.  Most of them, anyway:

Sure, Rex is petulant, whining, and he makes goofy faces from time to time…

…but Kit Walker’s a jerk.  And his wife is dead, apparently making him more of a jerk.  Then again, he could’ve started out that way:
