It seems that booze isn’t the answer in Mary Worth — booze is the question.

“Yes,” is the answer.

It’s kind of amazing to see who imbibes:

For absolutely no discernible reason, Mary Worth in a banana suit.  Hey, it’s Friday!

Lonnie’s tale of woe continues, on the mean streets of Santa Royale, where the Jets and the Sharks (more like the Piper Cubs and the Grunions) would feel right at home:

A couple of days ago, there were hills behind them, and overgrown grass. The hills are gone. A small trail appears in panel 1, and by the last panel, it’s a regular path. This place is rapidly evolving. Good Lord-they’re on the Genesis planet!

How did I miss the fence?  It must’ve been all the exciting action going on between Mike and Lonnie!

This week’s Mary Worth looks like it’s going to be filled with accusations and much-self pity by Dr. Mike, who seems bound and determined to revert to a petulant 10-year-old.

Safe it, Mikey.  There’s a lot of other things I’d rather do than hear you whine. Even more than you already have.

It appears that Lonnie has some physical malady that causes him to shake.  I’m sure that in time, what his affliction is will be made known, but in the meantime — Party Down!

I guess after reading several years of the horror that is Mary Worth, I’ve become inured to everything else, no matter how terrible and/or apocalyptic…

But wait! There’s more!

It’s a bright, shiny Monday morning in Santa Royale, and Dr. Mike is back — TO CRY ON MARY’S SHOULDER!

Unidentifiable Arboreal Creature from Lost Forest!

Dr. Mike attempt to contact his estranged father “Lonnie.”  Lonnie has never kept any of these appointments.  Of course, with Mary’s guidance, this will change!

Okay,  maybe another time.

Meanwhile, Mary brings Toby up-to-date on the latest in the Dr. Mike/Jenna story.   Mary has apparently run out of potato chips for her guest).
