Bil and Thel had a happy marriage.

Well, it seems dumb ol’ Jeffy’s presenting the argument for couples’ counseling/reconciliation.
And now with a keen URL medallion (not Josh-approved, (or “Shoe” approved, either) but I was just goofing around with it, and “snarkitupfuzzball.nexiliscom.com” just wouldn’t fit).

And since Dennis Mitchell is responsible for all of this, it’s nice to know that AT LAST he’s regained his oft-shunned title of “the Menace”:

So the new Spiderman plot revolves around Mole Man. Fine. But since when does a mole have tentacles?
And sure, tentacles can be scary, particularly coming out of a manhole cover, but I’m betting there’s worse.

…that I either have to much time on my hands OR that I spend more time mashing this strip than it takes the guys who get paid for it to scrawl something out (or sift through their old strips and get paid for reruns)…

First it was Billy sitting at the kitchen table, bitching and moaning about his homework.
Alex, from Dean’s Comic Booth, improved the lame concept immeasurably helped it along:

Me? I just went along for the mashin’ good ride! Thanks for the opportunity, Alex!

When you have a Family Circus panel of li’l Jeffy staring longingly at a layer cake, saying, “Mommy, you wanna guess what I’m thinking about?”, things can go one of two ways.
You can change the picture:

To which Mommy sighs sadly and replies, “I know, honey, but you have to forget about our Labor Day picnic. A lot of people accidentally ‘fall’ on things and then have to go to the hospital to have them removed.”
Or, you can change the caption:

Mommy only nodded and smiled to herself. While Jeffy might be a whipping boy for Billy and other bullies for the rest of his life, he’d certainly be popular with the ladies. It was a reasonable trade-off.

No, not that I’m posting a Family Circus strip as my 1000th post…
…but Jeffy is probably the Bright Star among all the offspring.

Billy dreams of catching the Big One, Dolly dreams that her sand castle is truly fit for a princess, and Jeffy digs to the Metropolitan Opera’s production of Turandot 18th C. China:

You know, I’ll bet even dumb little Jeffy saw bits of the Bejing Olympics and might realize that modern China looks a wee bit different:

Then again, this is most likely Jeffy’s final destination after a long day of diggin’:

(But, Oh! Those Adorable Malapropisms!)

[And lest you think this is in bad taste, bear in mind that the original had (a bathing-suit clad) Jeffy asking Daddy, “Do I have much hair under my arms?”. yuck ]
