I think even Mark has gotten the message (and slowly, slowly comprehended it) that readership of newspapers and magazines continues to plummet.  Since punching facial hair off bad guys really doesn’t pay the bills, morally satisfying though it may be),  it seems he’s exploring different avenues.

First responder?

Hmm…not really good if you don’t have a competent referral staff.

Something in politics?

I’m not sure Cherry’s going to be on board with this, but it’s a place to ship Rusty off, too.

Keep thinking, Mark! We love it when those little wisps of smoke come out of your ears!

Not quite yet.  And still, what will the future bring?

Then again, it might not be as exciting as one might expect…

June Morgan is just so practical.  Well, someone has to be in the family.

Practical and pragmatic AND people listen to her.  Not much good if you’ve got a lot of good advice and no one listens, right?

Oh, heck, the unifying theme in both Rex Morgan, M.D., and Judge Parker recently haven’t been exotic locales, but racks!

Exhibit A (and B):

Exhibit C:

Still, lawyer and physician serial strips can be damned dull, and if we’re grateful a week before Thanksgiving for gifts like this, so be it!

Breaking News:  I don’t think Bea’s gonna be a soft-sell, Avery…but then again, maybe it’s just something she ate:

Happy All Saints’ Day!  Me?   Too many little-bitty packets of Whoppers for me — I think I’m seeing things, just like Rex…

No, I don’t know where the weird little kid came from (well, yes, I do…today’s Archie strip, but why I even read Archie today is another sign of sugar fallout).

Okay…time passes, and I’m more on an even keel.  Well, at least to address someone who writes longer, more boring dialogue than I!

Ah, so the hard-working girls of Junior’s Condos are strippers! And they’re caring for a sick co-worker! Wow, the Morgans cannot catch a break — it’s still work, work, work, whether in Morganville or sunny San Diego!

Good ol’ Rex, accompanying the stricken Edna to the hospital!  Of course, June could’ve accompanied him, but the very idea of her in a swimsuit with the Saran Wrap coverup is soo very sexy isn’t appropriate for a hospital environment.  She obligingly stays behind — what a trooper!

Strangely enough, June has the same spark of compassion that Rex does — it’s as if they were made for one another!

Maybe she just won’t tell Rex about her gratis lunch, or anything else that happened…

Apparently I had a busy enough weekend that I did another mashup but didn’t post it.

Let’s see. Rex and June have arrived in San Diego and the apartment complex they’re supposed to be spying on, only to have Rex suddenly forced to look at some malfunctioning plumbing (funny thing — this is the same term that Rex uses for his gynecological appointments).

At long last, the seafood delights that both of them have been waiting for so long seem to be a growing reality!

Oops, let’s get the name right so we’re not wandering all over the place (one seaside paradise looks much like another, after all…):

AARGH! Spoke too soon.  Those clams are sooooooooooooooooooooooo close, too…
