In slightly less exotic locales, Mary cooks up a welcome to our merry little community for her new neighbors…

…while Neddy (aka, “Adopted Daughter Who Couldn’t Be More Like Abbey Spencer If She Tried”) returns to Spencer Plantation.

Or, maybe, while I was out.

Between the Estrella War (an S.C.A. thing) and the 5th Annual Festival of Books (a Tucson thing), it’s nearly the middle of the month! Already!  And CC’s queek even sent me some cute Tu’i photos which I’m putting up RIGHT NOW because it’s Monday and Tu’i’s a cutey patootie and we all need more cutey patootie in our lives!

Can Spring be far away?

Maybe Spring is a little farther off than we thought…

Never can tell with March…cold one minute and sunny the next.  At least Tu’i knows how to take advantage of the situation.

Tu’i’s ears are coming up, much like the daffodils!

Finally, what a classy canine like Tu’i eats every day (I want to be reincarnated as Tu’i!)

And with a good meal under his belt (or collar, or something) Tu’i is ready to dive into putting queek’s taxes together. No! Really!

…but not just yet.  It seems that Kit has a plan.

Spirit Lion has a tummy rumble.

It’s all good.

And even if she’s not added to The Phantom’s menagerie,   I’m stickin’ with her as long as the story lasts!

I am just smitten with this Androcles/St. Jerome/Aesop twist in The Phantom! Yes, I say this unironically.

It doesn’t stop me from goofing around with it (or, at least, blaming CC’s Hogenmogen).

I’M taking full credit (well, not the drawing part) for this, though…

Gah! I’d already used this lullaby (in the part of the story where Kit is tending to the lioness after removing the electronic doodad in her neck)! Oh, well.  It all goes to show this strip is markedly improved by the presence of the Spirit Lioness:

I like much of what BMcE draws (mostly), I like less of what he thinks/writes, but dang, I love his cats! And while I’ve *enhanced* this strip, nothing is sweeter than the vet keeesing the kitty! Lovely.

All this speculation about the secrecy Rod Bassy and Catfish maintain! Sooner or later, there has to be an epiphany.

Unfortunately, I don’t think this is it…

But if there is, I’m sure it wouldn’t be as keen as this!
