Spiderman was up against some clown (No! Really!) and defeated him (I think), so now there’s a new story.  Peter and Mary Jane are looking for a house! In Long Island! Yes — the most exciting story-line in Spiderman in YEARS is about to begin!!!

I’m trying my best not to get my hopes up…

…or wherever the deuce these stories take place…

Unfortunately, Young Queen buys into the whole Spirits Personified by Local Fauna guano and sends her minions to knock off a lioness.  Maybe the folks deserve it with such narrow-minded thinking — how about keeping the settlement gates closed for a start?

Here’s a little mental workout for everyone!

Comments Off on Labor Day doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be exercising!

I don’t read the comic Curtis, unless the folks at The Comics Curmudgeon say it’s really amusing.  (That’s not too often.)  A few weeks ago, a skunk (possibly rabid, and at least unhomed — I think Curtis lives in the city), was chasing Curtis around and around the living room.  Again, not that amusing, but the skunk looked angry, was growling, and, most important, it had a word balloon filled with cursing icons (okay, that was funny).  It was immediately dubbed “Cuss Skunk.”

I think that was the one-and-only appearance of Cuss Skunk in Curtis, so I like to think he got a better agent and is now appearing in Judge Parker.

I still doubt he’ll be as well-known as Honey Badger…

Yes, indeed, Cuss Skunk is performing his classic cursing.

Comments Off on I just love references that make no sense (aka, “Cuss Skunk”)!

are beginning to wear on Big Daddy.  Or maybe it’s just the years of juvenile bossiness.  Whatever.

[I’m trying to figure out if Olympic swimmer Nick Thoman approves:]

A frightening comparison that popped up on Facebook:

Of course, you know some people are skeptics, or just don’t pay much attention to anything:

[And I included this just because some fellow evidently got Olympics fever really, really bad…aka, Joe Mazello, the sixth member of the Fab Five U.S. Womens’ Olympic Gymnastic Team.]

I don’t follow Gil Thorpe, unless the comments at the Comics Curmudgeon are just too juicy to resister.  So this guy Steve has one arm (I don’t know why) and he apparently can’t play golf very well as a result.  And he apparently likes this girl Molly.  Yup. That’s about all you need to know.  Oh, and she suddenly pointed at him — with her FINGER!!!

I thought about having blood gushing out of his eye socket, but that was a little over-the-top.

To be honest, I had to do this just because Get Fuzzy mentioned a “bowl of eternal salmon treats” today. Who else would be the guardian?

I don’t mess with Jumble often (because Jumble Jeff probably knows where to find me), but I love doing it when the mood/inspiration/there’s nothing on television hits.

And yep, still missing Dingo.
