Markin' the Trail
This was inspired by CC’s Poteet, who pointed out that an oil spill is very likely NOT a natural disaster. Mark just gets a little confused on occasion…

I had to go back and look at the original MT at CC to verify that that baby bear in the large panel really was drawn like it has a black widow waist. It’s creepy as hell! Its hind leg looks just like an articulated teddy bear’s, too. Elrod is starting to lose his skills. Isn’t he like a 100 now? The humans are getting more and more sketchy looking, while the animals all look like they’ve been Shopped from older strips.
Yeah, I’m pretty sure you could cut Elrod in two and determine his age by counting the rings. OTOH, I have a bad feeling that when he goes, the strip will go with him. I don’t think anyone is training under him like he did with Dodd.
